KUDZU Contracting is a local, owner-led contracting company run by a licensed general contractor. We work primarily in East Cobb, Marietta, Roswell, and nearby neighborhoods because this is our backyard — and that is where our model works best.
We are not trying to be the biggest contractor in Atlanta. We would rather stay close, stay involved, keep overhead lean, and focus on projects where our experience and trade relationships can bring real value.

A lot of companies send a salesperson to win the job, then hand it off to people you have never met. With KUDZU, the owner and licensed general contractor stays involved, understands the scope, and remains accountable for how the project is handled.

We keep overhead low by staying local, staying small, and avoiding layers of sales staff, office staff, and managers. Our goal is not to be cheap — it is to deliver strong value. In many cases, that also means our pricing is very competitive.
Built on Real Experience
KUDZU Contracting carries forward a hands-on tradition that goes back a generation. Before this was a business, building, fixing, and improving homes were just part of life.
That mindset came from a father who was deeply involved in building his own home and could figure out, repair, or improve almost anything around a house.
Today, KUDZU builds on that legacy with practical experience in remodeling, real estate, project planning, and construction oversight.
Meet Tom Scroth
KUDZU Contracting is led by Tom Schroth, a licensed general contractor and longtime East Cobb neighbor. Tom and his family live in the same community KUDZU serves, which is part of why the company stays intentionally local.
With decades of experience around homes — building, remodeling, investing, inspecting, and advising — Tom brings practical judgment to each project. KUDZU reflects that mindset: small by design, local by choice, and personally involved where it matters.
